14 Years!

Aaron and I are celebrating our 14 years of marriage today. I am one of the luckiest women ever to have him as a husband and father of our kids. During the month of July, while he was off work, Aaron made dinner every night. That was one of the things he wanted to do for me while he was home. We very rarely have dinner together during the school year because of his schedule. It meant so much to me that he would notice what a pain it is to figure out dinner all of the time.

Brace Yourselves

On Thursday Hunter got his top braces on. He's not so excited to have them but understands the sooner he has them the sooner they get off. I can't believe how much more grown up he looks. When did he get permission to get older. In about 4 months he gets the bottoms to. The week before he got his braces, Hunter got spacers put in. The next day his front tooth that was starting to go crooked. Was already starting to move. When he got his braces, the front teeth were totally straight. Amazing how quickly that happened. If only the rest could be fixed over night. Hunter is very excited to have them before school starts so he can get used to them.

Creative!

Gavin came up with this creative outfit the other day. He is a diver. The backpack is his oxygen tank. The cup is his oxygen mask. He never ceases to amaze me.

Another Year Down

Aaron's birthday was yesterday. We celebrated with some of his family on Friday. He has to be to church at 6:30am on Sundays, so no sleeping in on his birthday. Aaron did get a nap and we took a walk. I think he had a pretty good day. I'm so lucky to have him as a husband. He brings the fun back into things when I'm a little too serious. We are all so grateful for how hard he works so I can be home with the kids. What a Guy!!

Baseball is Over

The last week of July Gavin finished baseball. He had such a great time. Here is is getting his certificate from his coaches. The coach in the middle was one of Gavin's preschool teachers.
Hunter had an extra week of baseball. All the boys from his age group were reassigned to new teams. Hunter was excited to have his same coach, Mickey, for the last week.

Hunter was so excited the last game, he actually hit it. He was still getting used to how fast the boys in this age group pitch. Hunter was also worried about getting hit. He got hit twice. He wasn't looking forward to being hit. Hunter really improved over the season.

My Boys

Monday I turned on our T.V. to find a fuzzy picture with a lot of static. I knew when I was hooking up the cable again that something had come loose when I was reattaching it. This is an inherited T.V. from Aaron's parents. Aaron was trying to figure out how long they had had it. He thinks since the 80's. With the part coming loose I thought for sure it would need to be replaced with a different T.V. Ch-ching.

It was a bit dusting on the inside.


Aaron got this great idea that he could fix it. Thus the opened up T.V. It is really cool to see how it looks on the inside. All the boys got in on the fixing in one way or the other.

I think it only to an hour or so and to my surprise Aaron fixed it. We can't take the cable off it again if we want to keep it working. Love my boys for fixing this old television and saving us some money. I'm so glad that Aaron likes to rip open things and put them back together. There have been several things that he has done this with. What a great guy I have!

Grateful!

This sweet little boy is holding three bears that he has gotten on trips to the E.R. Harrison has gone tot he E.R. twice. But the first time when he broke his arm last September, the nurses liked him so much that they gave him two bears. Well today made the second trip to the E.R. and hopefully the last.

We had the neighbor kids over this morning and I was switching the laundry. I headed into the family room for something. Then heard someone crying and the kids started yelling, "Harrison fell out the window! Harrison fell out the window!" One of my worsts nightmares to hear those words. This is a picture from the window he fell from.
The side of the house he fell in. He and his friend Joe were trying to scare a crow away that was on the neighbors roof. The crow flew away so the boys were trying to see it out the window and both boys were pushing on the screen (something they had been told a hundred times not to do) and out popped the screen and Harrison. He was sitting up when I got outside. So I knew things weren't to bad. I got him into the van and of to the E.R. We left for the hospital at about 11:15. He was moving his legs and toes. I got a hold of Aaron on his way to a meeting in McMinneville. He got there soon after Harrison and I did. Aaron and Kevin Gunnell gave Harrison a blessing.At the E.R. he had a collar put on and a CAT scan done. The scan showed everything to be fine. His muscle were just very tight. We were heading home at 1:15. I couldn't believe it.

Here he is walking down the stairs. He is on Motrin every 4 hours. Which wears off sooner that that. I'm still in shock that we are home and that any of this happened. I'm so very grateful for the power of prayer and the blessings of the priesthood. I'm so grateful for neighbors and friends that stepped in to watch the other kids while I jetted out the door. I have so many blessing to be grateful.
