All Star Intermediate Districts Championship Game

The Corvallis Mustangs won the game they played on Sunday which was against West Salem. Gavin wasn't able to be there since it was on Sunday. His team came back from losing to winning the game in the last inning. So fun!
This game was also against West Salem. Both teams won both games on Saturday. Sundays game didn't really matter. But it was so fun to hear about.
The boys played well. But couldn't quite get it done.
Second place in the district isn't to bad.
The boys getting their metals.
Both teams together.
Gavin wasn't excited to be taking a picture with West Salem.
West Salem did invite us to have pizza with them after the game. It was after 9:30 in the evening. What a great team. Both teams got along so well.

Still Not Sure...

Hunter fell and hurt his wrist while at the Cole's house on the last day of school. We waited to see how it was doing after the weekend. It wasn't looking any better. Hunter saw Dr. Metzler to get it checked out. She didn't even want to touch it because it was so swollen for fear of displacing the break. We all thought for sure it was broken. Xrays came back and no break was found. Crazy Hunter was given a brace to keep his wrist in place and told to come back in if it was not getting better or getting worse.
We went in the next week because his wrist wasn't getting better and he could pick up anything without pain. Hunter was referred to an orthopedic surgeon.
Hunter saw Dr. Dodds today. The xrays today still didn't show a break. But Dr. Dodds was for sure there was a break or some tendon tear. So into a cast it was. Happy Summer!
Hunter was relieved to have something to really hold his wrist. Although it was still sore even with the cast on.
Hunter went back a week later and finally the xrays should a break. It was in the bone in his hand near his thumb. A new cast was put on. This time with his thumb cast up. Now he couldn't move it and the pain he was having before was gone.
Hunter gets this cast off on July 29th.

Intermediate All Stars District Tournament Game #2

There was an hour and a half break in between these games. So the temperature got even hotter. This game was against South Valley Lions.
A great hit to the outfield.
Getting ready to round first.
Moving on to second
Rounding second
on to third.
What a hit!
Another win for Corvallis!
This is what the car said when we got in.
Ouch! Poor boys playing in this.

Intermediate All Stars DistrictTournament Game #1

The first game of Districts was against South Salem.
It was so hot outside. The temperature was in the 90's during this first game.
Gavin had some great hits and stole bases which is one of his favorite things to do.
Gavin was able to pitch for two innings. He did great.
Corvallis won with no problem!

Baseball Tournament

Gavin had a baseball tournament in Portland. The Robison's met us there. Some of them headed home. Karsten, Rebecca and Shannen went to a Mariners game.
It was a fun to have them there to cheer on Gavin.
Gavin's stance in the outfield.
Up to bat!
More pitching
The boys played a double header. They won the first one right at the end. The second game was not as exciting and we lost. But the boys played well.

Free Lunch

Our ward has playgroup every Friday morning. We met at Wildcat park. An added plus was free lunch is served there!
These three boys decided it would be the best place to eat their lunch over the garbage cans.
Whatever makes you happy, I guess.

Time at the Coast

After Gavin's game we headed to the Coast to meet the Robison's.
The ocean was so calm. It was a little strange.
It was also warm and a light breeze. It was an unheard of time at the coast.
Hazel wanted to be buried.
Gavin was next.
Tanner, Gretchen, Natalie and I worked on the design.
Yes, he was going to be a mermaid.
Done!
