Happy Birthday!

Gavin turned 11. He asked to have appetizers for dinner. Buffalo wings, mozzarella sticks and chicken nuggets were among the menu.
He requested a Dairy Queen ice cream cake.
There is a funny story behind the chocolate football. Two years ago we gave Gavin a chocolate football for his birthday. It was left on the counter. Graham came downstairs, picked it up and threw across the room. He totally thought it was a toy. Much to his surprise it broke into pieces. Gavin was very patient about this whole incidence.
Amazed at the candles.
Getting down to the birthday song.
Gavin had to stand up to blow out the candles.
Gavin was super thrilled to have an OSU jersey. It was even better that it was Scott Crichton's number.
Once again being a patient brother and letting Hazel help open his gifts.
Another OSU jersey. He is our sports fanatic.
Stoked to have a bounce back net. Now he doesn't have to wait for someone to come play catch with him.
Our little guy isn't so little anymore.
We a great kid Gavin is.

Still More Family Time

The Sunday after Christmas we went to Silverton for church with the Tokarski's. Sonja was speaking in church she was getting ready to leave for her mission to Italy in January.
These two boys are hilarious together.
After we ate we chatted.
Fern!
We play Farkle the rest of the night.
There were two games going.
These two crazy girls can't ever have enough time together.
Here they are trying to be Miranda, a YouTube personality.
We had a fabulous time with our family.

More Family Time

After lunch at my Mom's, we headed to the Cole's for dinner. It always a fun time. Adam, Jaime and Fern were there too.
We spent a lot of time playing Just Dance 2014.
I couldn't get enough of sweet Fern.

Time with Family

We went to my Mom's house for lunch.
Even though it was chilly outside, the kids still wanted to head outside for some fresh air.
Harrison was carrying Layla around.
Gavin and Shannen played catch in the road.
It was a great relaxing afternoon.

Christmas Morning

The younger boys were up in the 6's Christmas morning. We held them off until 7:30ish. We finally got the other kids up.
I think we are ready to open presents. They are all sorted out.
Opening her present from Gretchen.
She loved them.
Some of the craziness.
Enjoying her fun princess stuff from Gretchen.
The boys opening up a remote control car, a Porsche.
We had a low key morning. Love being with my family.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was also the OSU football bowl game day too. So we were all decked out for the game against BSU. The game wasn't real exciting. So at half time we headed outdoors for our caroling around the neighborhood.
After caroling we came back in to open Christmas pajamas.
It was a wonderful night. I love having family an friends around.

Winter Break

On the first morning of winter break, I found Aaron, Gavin, Harrison and Graham playing Life.
Gretchen and Hazel cut out sugar cookies.
Gretchen made the dough and frosting all by herself.
Harrison and Graham helped with the decorating.
Some of the finished cookies. Yum!
