Pioneer Trek

Our stake had a pioneer trek for the youth. The kids had a great time. I was hard but a good experience. The kids were thirsty and didn't want water when they got back. So a caffeine free soda was in order.

Our Little Jumper

Hazel has become quite the jumper into the pool lately.

So fun to see her get so exited about swimming. 

Oh Hazel

Hazel couldn't wait to try Gavin's new socks on. They do have pink on them.

She is one funny girl.

Finley Wildlife Hike

Harrison's cub scout den went on a hike at Finley Wildlife Refuge. Hazel and I tagged along. 

It was raining before we went. The sprinkled a little on us at the beginning. Then it was nice for the rest of hike. Nice meaning not raining. 

One of the boys in Harrison's den got stun by a bee. While he was reacting to the pain, I looked at Hazel and she was reaching into the hood of her jacket that was on her head. She had a pained look on her face. I took her hood off and there was a bee stuck in her hair and it had already stung her. She never cried or said anything about it. what a tough girl!

Cousins at the Park

It is so cool that our kids have so many cousins close. 

Curly Girl

We tried a new hairstyle on Hazel for church yesterday. This is what it looked like after we took out the buns.

Surprise Pool Play Date

The kids and I headed to the pool after dinner and what did we find?

Maggie, Silas and Andy Hackethorne there. 

It was fun to find them there.
I wasn't planning on getting into the pool. It was too chilly for me. Nice to have the distraction of friends there.

A Driver

Time with Dad

Graham's 1st grade class made a corn toss game for the PTA auction this year. We bought one. 

Nothing like some time with Dad.

Back in Nampa

After Blue Lake we got the cabin cleaned up, our cars packed and headed back to Nampa.
The kids got right back to playing Scum.

The next day we headed back home. What a fantastic two weeks!

Blue Lake

The last time we visited Blue Lake was in 2008. We were so excited that the sun decided to come back out for this hike to the lake.

We started at 8000 feet. 

Then started the 1 mile hike down to Blue Lake.
Blue Lake is at 7300 feet. 

We made it!

This lake is made by melting snow.
Which means it is super warm. Haha!

McKaylee and Shannen had to go back to Boise for work.
That is why they aren't here with us.
