A Boy Get-Together

Hunter had some friends over today for a birthday get together.
Ian
Daniel

Chance

Hunter

They made some pizza's. Then played Super Mario Bros.

The other kids and I headed to our friends house for a going away party. Hunter's dream come true-time with his friends with our the siblings trying to get in on the action.

A little Rockband.

Then outside for some basketball.

I loved it because I didn't have to do much but get the pizza dough and fixin's ready. The boys entertained themselves. They are all such good kids that I don't have to worry to much about them getting into trouble.
Side note:Hunter, Ian and Daniel's basketball team won again today by one point. It it was a great game to the very end.

I Can't Believe It!

Hunter's 1st birthday
Hunter's 12th birthday. That's right he is officially 12. Where has the time gone and can I really have a 12 year old.
Hunter opted for a Dairy Queen cake.

All lit up.

We had KFC upon Hunter's request. We never eat there. I guess that's why he chose it.

Gettin' into the birthday song.

Can he blow out this many candles?

Almost. He did do it. Have I mentioned how much I love this guy? I'm so grateful that he is a member of our family and such a good example for the younger kids.

After Basketball

Ian and Hunter's team won their basketball game today. Their first win! They were down by 20 at one point of the game. Then I was chatting with another mom and Darin turned to us and said,"Did you see the score?" The boys were up by a couple of points. They won by 3 points.
We met some of the other boys and their parents at Dairy Queen. Then Ian came over and this is what the boys did to relax. Super Mario Bros. It's so nice to have family so close.

Oregon Coast

Thursday and Friday of this week the kids were out of school for report cards. Friday we headed to the coast to meet Dawn, Ian and Alice. We ventured to the beach and are we so glad that we did.
It was gorgeous. Warm enough to not have pants of for Graham. His pants got totally wet in the first minutes of being at the beach.

Rocket came with us and had a fabulous time running and running to his hearts content.

I'm not quite sure what these two are up to.

But I'm certain it's no good.

If there's a puddle any where Graham will find it.

Can you see Graham out in the rocks?

Harrison can dig and dig and never get tired of it.

Alice and Ian in the distance digging for treasures. Graham in the puddle. Gretchen making her way back with Rocket coming from behind.

More digging.

Back at the coast house and cabin. The weather was still beautiful and the kids were taking advantage of it.

Planning some kind of strategy.

There was a battle being fought.

It was such a great day at the coast. the day before was rainy and cold. Today was rainy and cold. We really lucked out. Did I mention we had so much fun?

Strings Concert

Saturday Gretchen had a strings concert.

There aren't as many kids in the level as there have been in previous years. I don't know if it the economy or what. I would definitely find away for my kids to do it.

You can't see Gretch very well, but we know she was there. She is standing behind the second girl in the middle of the picture.
