Jog-a-Thon

The kid's school had their jog-a-thon today. Gavin carried Hazel on his back for most of the time. 

She felt very special being with all of Gavin's friends. 

Scouts Advancement

Gavin was awarded his Tenderfoot tonight.

Hunter was awarded his Life Scout.

So proud of both of the boy's hard work.

Another Soccer Game Day

Harrison mostly plays defense.

He doesn't mind playing that.

Cast Removal

The cast is finally coming off!

I love the headphones. That is the first time one of our kids has gotten to wear headphones while getting a cast cut off. 

Can you see the difference in leg size? It is so crazy how quickly the muscle shrinks when not in use. Hazel is so happy to have it off. She isn't walking on it yet. It's still sore. She isn't supposed to run or jump for a couple of weeks. Good luck with that!

Soccer

Soccer started again for Harrison. 

He wasn't sure if he wanted to play but decided to when his friend Wyatt was going to play too.

Tomato Juice

Hazel and I made tomato juice with tomatoes from our garden.

It was quite the adventure. A successful one!

Burgerville!

Burgerville is coming to Corvallis! We are so excited. The seasonal shakes are so delighful.

Hazel and I met Dawn and Carter at the big shendig Burgerville was throwing. We got free burgers and chips.

Night Tea Party

Hazel couldn't wait to have a tea party with Aaron and the boys. They really made her day!

Improvising

Hazel loves to swim. Since she can't get in the pool all the way she stuck her good leg in.
Resourceful I say.

Gavin and Hunter played with her. She almost felt like she was playing in the water. 

Tea Party

Today was the first day of school for the kids. Hazel doesn't start until the 22nd. She had a great time playing by herself without anyone there to bother her.
She decided to have a tea party. And why not?

Temple Trip

Our ward youth were able to go to the temple. Aaron was able to go along.

Getting Outside

We figured out a way for Hazel to get some fresh air and have fun too.

Hazel was very happy to be outside.

Ouchie!

Hazel went to the neighbors and returned home being carried and sobbing because she hurt her leg. I knew immediatly that she had broken her leg. Hazel had gotten a big bounce from one of her brothers. She did tell me that her leg bended weird.
It was to late to get into the doctors. So we waited until Monday morning to go. She got to ride in wheel chair to save my back. 

She even figured out how to move the wheel chair by herself. 

Definitely broken.
Her tibia was cracked all the way through. Her knee bent backwards. Yes, her leg bended weird for sure. She was squeezed into Dr. Bynum's schedule to get a cast.
Ouch!

Hazel knew exactly which color she wanted for her cast. 

And was very patient getting it on.

It still hurt to much to walk on it. Dr. Bynum said when she is ready she will walk on it.

Family Time

Saturday morning we met at the park for a family get together. 

The cousins got a game of missionary tag going.

Eventually most of the adults joined in the game.

Late at night Shale set a movie outside for the kids.

We forgot to grab some shoes for Hazel when we packed. She got some great ones that were her favorite color.

We also went to the Rec Center for Kimball's basektball game.
