Basketball vs Wizards

A blurry shot of Gavin charging for the hoop.
He got fouled and got two shots.
This is me trying to get a picture of Gavin's three pointer. He totally swished it.
It was such a great game. The Celtics won by 3 points.

Basketball vs Timberwolves

Graham's team went up against the Timberwolves this week.
Graham working his ball handling skills.
On defense.
More offense
And hoping he gets the ball.
HE DID!
Unfortunately he missed the shot. The Heat lost again but they fought hard.

Port Removal

The day has arrived port removal. Hunter was scheduled for surgery at 10:30 or 11 am. He didn't get called back until 12:15. Then surgery was started at 12:30. Hunter didn't want to act too excited but I knew he was about this step. He was ready to feel like a normal person again.
On the drive home. He was tired. Notice the bandage on his right hand. Yes, it is pink with purple hearts. Hunter did that for Hazel. Actually he said he didn't care what the nurse put on. He just wanted to get out of there and get some food. Hunter hadn't eaten since the night before and it wasn't until 3 that we got out of Doernbecher. Poor guy!
This is his port. Hunter had this in his chest for 3 years and 8 months. Looking at it makes since that when it would get bumped Hunter would be in pain.
Also recovery wasn't as quick as Hunter had hoped. He was in a lot of pain but didn't want to take his oxycodone to long. It make him feel loopy. Hunter could feel where the port was and also the tube that went from the port to his artery. I can't even imagine. I'm sure that all of it had become part of his body so removing it would make things painful.
Hunter was home the rest of the week and felt much better by Sunday. It is such a great feeling and be on this side of this experience. What a great kid Hunter is. It's so nice to look at all the many blessing and tender mercies from our Heavenly Father. It is truly a testimony builder.

Who's Got My Phone?

Hazel likes to take pictures when she has my phone.
I'm never sure what I'm going to see when I get it back from her.

Basketball vs Suns

Gavin's team is tied with this team for first. So this was a big game.
Gavin was on fire. He made 12 points in the first little bit of the game.
He went up for a rebound and came down on some one else's foot. His ankle rolled but he still stay in to play the game. The Celtics, Gavin's team, one by 3. It was down to the wire.

Oh Hazel!

This little girl keeps us grinning.
She was doing a great dance with this random rope that she found.
It went on for about 15 minutes maybe more.
Notice the pointed toes.
The first time she would let me do buns in her hair.
She loved them.
Princess Aurora
Snow White with some jewels.
Hazel keeps us young.

Getting Around

Sunday we had stake conference for church. Tradition is that we get together with the Coles and Hales for food.
Hazel was content to play in the play room making cookies while the other kids ran around.
After awhile she did wish she could run around with the kids but she was happy with different toys.

Swim Districts Meet

Hunter swam the 50 free in districts.
He hurt his tendon again in practice pushing off the wall. The week early practice wasn't as intense as he wanted to be. But it is, what it is.
At the starting blocks.
Hunter looked really great and came in first in his heat.
Starting blocks for the 100 free.
Looking good in this race.
Hunter did look a little tired half way through the race. He was relieved to have it done.

Happy Valentines!

We had heart shaped pancakes for breakfast.
The boys quickly got their class valentines done.
We ran out of time the night before with Hazel's adventure and Graham's game.
Hazel figuring out she can crawl to get around.

Yes, She Did!

I got home to Hazel in Hunter's arms. Hunter said she fell off the boys bunk bed ladder. Now she wouldn't walk on her left foot. I knew we needed to head to the doctor's for x-rays.
Hazel was so brave while the doctor touched her foot. After he determined that she needed x-rays.
Hazel got to play with some purple gloves and ride in wheel chair on the way to get the pictures of her foot.

She was a champ getting the x-rays.
Hazel had a hairline fracture near the ball of her foot. No cast needed. She will use it when she feels like it. PHEW!
