| Gavin was encouraged by his Little League coach, Coach Love, to tryout for the All Stars teams. The only problem was that tryouts were on Sunday. Coach Love totally understood about us not doing this on the Sabbath. He told the All Star coaches where Gavin fit skill wise to the other kids trying out. Gavin didn't make the All Stars team but did make the All Stars Honors team. A blessing because they had not games on Sunday. The All-Stars did. |

| The first game was against South Salem. Gavin's team won, 34-6. Or something like that. Corvallis played great together. |
