First Swim Meet of the Season vs. South Albany

Hunter was excited to start the swim season this year. He is feeling so much stronger, as he should.
Hunter's times reflected his increased strength too.
On the blocks waiting to start a race.
Hunter was able to swim varsity this meet. It was such a great thing to see Hunter swimming much faster after fighting through the last 3+ years. Awesome!

Christmas Decor

Gretch couldn't wait to get a hold of my phone to take some pictures of the Christmas decorations.
She has such a great eye for pictures.
And of course she had to get one of favorite ornaments.
Our star on top of the tree.
Oh Christmas, we love you!

Doernbecher Visit

Thankfully the roads were clear for us to take Hunter to his Doernbecher visit. The weather was chilly and the further north we traveled the less snow we saw. It was a gorgeous morning.
The sunrise was amazing.
Clear roads
The kids
So sleepy from all the fun in the snow.
In Portland there wasn't a lot of snow just frosty.
Catching some ZZZ's while the kids played in the playroom and Hunter and I talked to his doctor. Hunter's numbers were great! I will never get tired of hearing those words.
He will be getting his port out the end of February. It will be so nice for Hunter to get that out. He has had it since June of 2010.
After the Doernbecher visit and lunch, we took the kids to Bullwinkle's Family Fun Center.
While Aaron and the kids did laser tag. Hazel and I walked around. She also explored the huge play area.
Hazel was timid and not wanting to explore very far from me.
She made it out! It was a great family day!

Geared Up...

Hazel ready to head outside and enjoy all the snow.
Hazel and Gavin getting ready to play in the snow.
The kids had now school for 5 days. It was crazy.
Hazel and Tianna.
Our friends the Outlands had just moved into the neighborhood. It was so fun for the kids to be able to be together and play and sled in the snow.
Hunter with Rocket, our dog.
Harrison loving the snow!
Gavin acting too cool for the camera.
Gretchen's attempt at doing a panoramic shot.
Chatting it up with the Outland's and Braun's or next door neighbors.
Hazel wanting something.
Hazel would have stayed outside all day everyday if I would let her. She loves the outdoors no matter the weather.
Getting more of the pretty white stuff.
Aaron out front with the three younger kids.
Graham so excited to be pulling Hazel.
He is still going.
Now Graham's turn on the sled.
He was exhausted after all that running, pulling and riding.
Hazel getting a ride by Dad.
I stayed inside making sure there was warm water on the stove or in the crock pot. So when the sledders wold come in they would have something to warm them up.

The three younger kids headed to the backyard while the older kids went to the path to sled down the hills there.
They had such a great time!

Snow, Really?

We woke to this crazy white stuff. In Oregon we get winter storm warnings, but it is usually alot of rain. Not this year.
This is what Aaron and I woke up to at 4:30 am.
It was still snowing as we were on our way to Timberhill to workout.
This is how much it snowed in just an hour.
The accumulation on the fence.
The scene when we got home from working out. The kids enjoying a slow morning of cartoons.
Beautiful!
