A Pile of Leaves

The yard maintenance guys were out blowing the leaves into piles. The boys were so excited to see how big the pile was getting in front of our house.
The kids could hardly wait to get in the pile.

Flag Football Game #2

This was game #2 for Gavin's team. The played one of the Philomath teams.
Gavin did a good job as quarterback for a couple of plays.
Had some great tackles.
Did some great blocks for teammates.
Philomath scored 3 touchdowns.
Gavin scored the one and only touchdown for his team.
Right and the end of the game.
It was another fun game.

Saying Goodbye

We had Maya over again while Danny and Lindsay packed for moving.
Harrison was reading the girls a book.
We had Maya and Marcus along with Lettie and Liza Cochran over on Monday while the truck was being packed up.
We absolutely loved our time with these lovely kids.
So sad the Poelman's have moved.

BFFs

We were lucky enough to Maya come play for the morning. The girls were to the store. It was so fun to here them talking with each other.
After lunch it was time for some music.
Of course they had to sing 'I Am a Child of God'.
It was one of the cutest duets ever.

Foot Problems

Hunter started cross country in August. Notice there haven't been any posts about his meets. Poor guy didn't make it past the beginning of September. He was at practice one day feeling good then his left foot began to really hurt. He iced it, took ibuprofen and rested it.
We finally headed to the doctor's because it wasn't getting better. The diagnosis was pulled tibial posterior tendon. The treatment rest and ibuprofen and being told it could take up to a month to heal.
It wasn't getting better after 3-4 weeks. Hunter headed back into the doctor's for a recheck. It was then decided that Hunter needed to see a podiatrist.
Yesterday was the day finally.
Hunter was told that yes it was a pulled tibial posterior tendon. And his feet were super flat. Hence the reason for the pulled tendon.
Hunter gets to wear the boot for two weeks. Then orthotic insoles.
It's fixable, thankfully!
Hunter says the boot actually makes his foot feel so much better. He is bummed that he can't go swimming with his cousin Charlie after school for a couple of weeks. He thinks the time will fly by. He is such a great kid!
