Santiam Christian Invitational

Gretchen's first official meet was at Santiam Christian. The course was a 3700. 700 more than their usual races.
Gretchen did awesome. She got 16th place out of 110 girls. Her time was 18:13 minutes. Next one is on the 24th in Sweet Home.

Doernbecher Day

Hunter, Hazel and I headed to Doernbecher. Hunter needed to be there earlier than his scheduled appointment for an appointment with a physical therapist. Hunter was participating in a study to see if chemo effects your walking. It only took 15 minutes to do what the P.T. needed for his research.
On the way up to Doernbecher Hunter was in a much better mood than he usual was. I never noticed the difference. Hunter never was grumpy or rude. I think he was just anticipating what was to come after his chemo.
He was willing to have a conversation with me. Hazel and he had a great time playing and chatting it up on the way there. What a contrast!
Hunter's numbers were great. We don't have to go back up until December. Hunter will do blood checks here in Corvallis. So nice!

Backyard Fun

The boys were passing some time after dinner before the Beaver game started.
A game of flag football!

Hazel had her own ball game going.

Then it was off to do some gardening.
It's been a great Saturday.

More Sunday Walks

We are so glad there is still nice weather so we can go on our Sunday walks with the Poelman's. Always a good time!

Warrior Dash

Aaron and Adam competed in the Warrior Dash in Portland. They had a blast.
This is how muddy he was when he got finished. 

He wanted to give me a hug. I wasn't going for it.

Brotherly love

Aaron and Adam did a great job. So proud of them! Aaron's ready to do it next year.

That night we had the Cole's, Adam Hale's, Jared Hale's, Tokarski's and Poelman's over to watch the game and eat delicious food. It was a full weekend of family and friends. 
We loved it!!

Family Time

Adam, Jaime and Fern came to town this week. It has been so fun to get to know Miss Fern. We got together at the Cole's with the Jared Hale's too. 

Of course there was piano playing. It is so awesome when they play together. 

I love being with family.

The time is always too short.

Dust Devil

On our way to Harrison's and Graham's classes for an open house before school started, we saw this dust devil. The boys thought it was the coolest thing.
