Decorating Tree #2

The next night we decorated the tree downstairs. gretchen was involved in it.
And so was her friend and our nieghbor, McKenzie.
The kids had a fun decorating this tree too. It has been very cool to have two trees. I'm not sure if it will happen again next year so we are enjoying it while we can.

Decorating Tree # 1

The day after getting the trees Aaron brought them in. The kids were so excited to get to decorating them. The decorations were picked out by the kids. This is the family room tree.It can be seen from the front of the house.
Hazel really wanted Hunter to help her. She keeps saying, "Hunts, Hunts". She is such a cutie.
Doing it herself!
Harrison and Graham gettin' busy.
Gavin was in there too. I'm not sure where Gretchen was. Probably in her room on her iPod. Almost teenagers!
The kids had such a great time and we also get to do another one.

Find a Christmas Tree...

We didn't go out to a farm and cut down our tree. We went to a lot and bought two.  Every since our first Christmas in our house we have talked about getting two trees, one for the living room and one for the family room. This year was finally the year. We found a great deal on two trees that fit in our budget for just one tree.
Graham loved the puddles around the lot.

We didn't have a night when everyone was home. A tree lot was the quickest option.
The men working at the lot even tied them up on the van.
We did have to leave the trees on the front porch. It had been so rainy the days before. The trees needed to dry out.

Shopping

Early this month Hazel and I did a Costco run. She decided that she needed to push the cart.
Hazel actually got the cart moving. It was pretty full too.
The pictures are a bit blurry because she didn't want to stop.

Growing Up To Fast

Miss Hazel was found in Hunter's room on his bed like this.
Yes, this smarty knows how to navigate the ipods and iphones. It's scary.
She is grwoing up way to fast.

Gingerbread Houses

The beginning of the month the kids got out the gingerbread house kits. (I got them at the end of the season last year.)
This is the one Hunter, Harrison and Graham worked on.

Gavin and Gretchen worked on this one.

The kids had such a great time working on the houses. I think they look so cute.
I used to make gingerbread from scratch and make the royal icing. It is so much work but smells yummy. But when I can buy a kit for next to nothing. Done!!

OSU Game

Yesterday Aaron, Hunter, Gavin, Graham and I headed to the OSU game vs. Nichols State with our neighbor Jeff. It was a lot of fun. There were so few fans there that we moved from our original spot under the jumbo tron to seats with backs. Gavin was especially excited.

It started to rain. Graham was found in this poncho playing Hunter's iPod.
I had so much fun with the boys. We had tickets for the whole family. Gretchen and Harrison didn't want to go to the game. They stayed home with Hazel. It was so nice to not have to wrestle her at the game during her nap time.
A fun end to the season!
