Finally Some Good Weather

Monday our kids headed back to school, but the cousins were still on their spring break. My sister-in-law took her two oldest girls shopping at the Woodburn Outlets. Shale, Shaely, Kambry and Kimball stayed at our house. Luckily the weather cooperated and we headed outside for some fun.

We got out the bikes and rode around for awhile.

Gettin' geared up.

Kambry was a little nervous to get on the bike. She just learned to ride without training wheels before winter. Once she got on it was no big deal.

Graham.

The sun finally broke through the clouds. We got out the sidewalk chalk and got creative.

The kids started out tracing Shale's foot.

Then it progressed to outline his body.

Then the kids wanted in on it too.

Kimball was happy to just walk on the curb.

Shaely was Wonder Woman.

Kambry was a princess.

Kambry was also a ballerina.

Then they headed off for a bike ride. Kambry was so excited to ride on the tag along.

After their ride, they came back for Graham.

It was a fabulous day. We headed outside at 11 a.m. They didn't come in until 2:30 p.m.

Only A Week Behind

...on posting about last Sunday.

After church we had a great restful afternoon with some games of Sorry.

McKaylee relaxin' it the chair.

Shaely and Gretchen were so sweet and took Kimball and Graham on a walk to see the sheep an the lambs in the field close to us.

At dinner Kimball made good use of the napkins.

Some after dinner dessert.
Never a dull moment when we are all together.

Trip to the Coast

Last Saturday we headed to the coast with the Robisons. We weren't quite sure how the weather was going to be, but that never stops us from going. It rained all of the way there.

First we headed to Hatfield Marine Science Center. The kids were so excited about the octopus.

Kimball letting us know where it was.

Graham, Kimball and Carmen getting a closer look.

Shaely, Shale, Gavin, Kambry, McKaylee, Natalie and Gretchen at the tide pools.

Kimball getting in on the action.

Gavin, Graham, Hunter and Aaron.

Harrison finally made it over there.

Kambry listening.

The kids making fishy faces.

Some jellyfish.

These two never stop talking.

The future meteorologist playing with the scientific equipment.

After Hatfield it was off to Lincoln City. The rain was starting to slow and there were some blue skies over the ocean. We decided that if the rain stopped we would pull over where we were to play on the beach.

It didn't take long. We got as far as Agate Beach and went to play.

My feet were cramping just looking at them in the water. It reminded me of times we would come to visit from Idaho when I was young. I couldn't resist sinking my feet in, no matter how painful.

Graham had a bit of an accident. The kids were in the water and then realized that the water coming in was more than usual. Graham tried to out run it but fell in the process. He was soaked and screaming. Aaron bundled him up in his jacket. Graham thought that was fun.

Kimball did get down for a few seconds. Then realized that the water was freezing.

Inseparable and hilarious to listen to.

Always having a good time together.

After the beach we headed to Lincoln City. We picked up some new clothes for Graham since his were wet. Carmen and McKaylee stayed at the outlets to shop and the rest of us headed to the movies. We watched 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid'.

It was such a great day!
